Alcest | Ecailles De Lune | CD

Alcest is a French band created by Neige in early 2000. It began as a solo project, and a few months later other musicians joined him, turning it into a band. The group started out playing raw black metal, but after the first demo, Tristesse Hivernale, its sound took on strong post-rock and shoegaze influences, and its direction and concept shifted towards more intimate themes. Neige chose the name for its ethereal sound.

Écailles De Lune is a CD album by Alcest, released in 2010 by Prophecy Productions in Germany. It is the second album by the band, produced by Martin Koller, with Neige writing the music and lyrics and playing vocals, guitar, bass and synthesizer. Drums are played by Winterhalter.
