alt-J | Reduxer | CD

alt-J are a British band whose recordings combine distinctive vocal phrasing with detailed rhythms and contrasting instrumental textures. Their music connects folk, electronic and alternative-rock ideas, giving unusual melodic patterns and carefully shaped arrangements an active role within each song.

Reduxer revisits songs from alt-J’s Relaxer through interpretations by different hip-hop artists and producers. Contrasting voices and altered rhythms give the original material new settings, connecting the band’s melodic ideas with a collaborative remix programme.
