alt-J are an English band formed in Leeds whose music combines indie rock with folk and electronic influences. Unusual vocal phrasing, layered rhythms and detailed arrangements distinguish their songs, which often move between intimate acoustic passages and more densely constructed sections.
This Is All Yours was released in 2014 as the follow-up to An Awesome Wave. Produced by Charlie Andrew, it develops the band's combination of folk-derived melodies and electronic textures through a varied sequence of songs and instrumental interludes.
