Amorphis | Borderland | CD

Amorphis is a progressive metal band from Helsinki, Finland, founded in 1990. The band began as a pure death metal group but moved away from that scene to develop a blend of heavy metal, progressive rock and folk. Its name comes from the word amorphous, meaning having no determinate form or shape.

Borderland is an album by Amorphis, issued as a single CD and released on 26 September 2025 by Reigning Phoenix Music. This European release has music by Esa Holopainen and Santeri Kallio and lyrics by Pekka Kainulainen. Tomi Joutsen provides the vocals, and Jacob Hansen produced, engineered, mixed and mastered the recording.
