Asphyx | Necroceros | CD

Asphyx are a Dutch death metal band whose music incorporates the slower weight of doom metal. Their recordings contrast heavy, deliberate riffs with faster passages, while Martin van Drunen's abrasive vocal delivery reinforces the group's raw and uncompromising sound.

Necroceros, released in 2021, continues Asphyx's combination of death metal aggression and doom-influenced pacing. Its songs alternate compact attacks with longer, slower constructions, keeping the emphasis on weighty guitar riffs and the contrast between speed and sustained tension.
