Bellowhead | Matachin | CD

Bellowhead were an English folk ensemble whose recordings gave traditional material large-scale instrumental arrangements. Voices, strings, brass and percussion connect lively dance rhythms with contrasting musical textures, making ensemble interplay central to the songs.

Matachin presents Bellowhead in this CD release. The programme includes Fakenham Fair, Roll Her Down the Bay, Vignette I, bringing contrasting performances and arrangements together in a collected listening sequence.
