Björk is an Icelandic singer, songwriter and producer whose work combines electronic music with acoustic and orchestral instrumentation. Her distinctive vocal phrasing and experimental arrangements connect personal expression with an interest in unusual textures, rhythms and musical forms.
Fossora, released in 2022, brings bass clarinets and forceful electronic rhythms into an album concerned with roots, family and loss. Its grounded instrumental palette differs from the airy flute arrangements of Utopia, while continuing Björk's exploration of voice and sound.
