Brad Mehldau | Ride Into The Sun | 2LP

Brad Mehldau is an American pianist whose recordings connect jazz improvisation with detailed harmonic and rhythmic ideas. His work brings an exploratory approach to original compositions and interpretations of other songwriters' music.

On Ride into the Sun, Mehldau reworks songs by Elliott Smith alongside compositions inspired by his music. Daniel Rossen and Chris Thile contribute to a programme that also includes a reading of Big Star’s Thirteen. This edition presents the 16-track programme across two LPs.
