Cathedral | In Memoriam (Cd+Dvd) | 2CD

Cathedral is a UK doom metal band formed in 1989 in Coventry by vocalist Lee Dorrian and guitarist Mark Griffiths, who met at a Carcass show. The band's sound moved gradually from slow, dirge-like arrangements on the debut album 670391 towards Black Sabbath-inspired heavy metal. Dorrian and co-founding guitarist Garry Jennings stayed with the band throughout its run, and in 2013, after 24 years together, they put it to rest.

This is a 2015 release on Rise Above Records with two discs, one CD and one DVD-Video disc. The CD combines In Memoriam, a 1990 demo recorded at Rhythm Studios in Leamington Spa, with a live set from 1991 recorded in Belgium and Holland. The credits list Lee Dorrian on vocals, Garry Jennings and Adam Lehan on guitar, Mark Griffiths on bass and Ben Mochrie on drums.
