Cathedral | In Memoriam | 2LP

Cathedral is a UK doom metal band formed in 1989 in Coventry by vocalist Lee Dorrian and guitarist Mark Griffiths, who met at a Carcass show. The band's sound moved gradually from slow, dirge-like arrangements on the debut album 670391 towards Black Sabbath-inspired heavy metal. Dorrian and co-founding guitarist Garry Jennings stayed with the band throughout its run, and in 2013, after 24 years together, they put it to rest.

In Memoriam is a limited edition of 100 copies on two LP vinyl records, released by Rise Above Records on July 10, 2015. It includes studio recordings made at Rhythm Studios in October 1990 and live recordings made in Belgium and the Netherlands in March and April 1991. The release is described as a remastered reissue.
