Cathedral | The Garden Of Unearthly Delights | CD
Cathedral is a UK doom metal band formed in 1989 in Coventry by vocalist Lee Dorrian and guitarist Mark Griffiths, who met at a Carcass show. The band's sound moved gradually from slow, dirge-like arrangements on the debut album 670391 towards Black Sabbath-inspired heavy metal. Dorrian and co-founding guitarist Garry Jennings stayed with the band throughout its run, and in 2013, after 24 years together, they put it to rest.
This is a single disc CD album reissue of The Garden Of Unearthly Delights by Cathedral, released by Rise Above Records in Europe on 3 October 2025. Warren Riker produced and recorded the album, and the songs are credited to Brian Dixon, Garry Jennings, Lee Dorrian and Leo Smee. Guest contributions come from Pascal Roggen on violin and Lo Polidoro on vocals.
