Chris Isaak | Beyond The Sun | CD

Chris Isaak is an American singer-songwriter whose music draws on rockabilly, country and early rock 'n' roll. His expressive tenor and atmospheric guitar arrangements connect contemporary songwriting with the vocal and instrumental traditions of mid-twentieth-century popular music.

Released in 2011, Beyond the Sun revisits songs associated with Memphis' Sun Records tradition. Recorded at Sun Studio, the album connects Isaak and his band with repertoire linked to artists such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison.
