Chuck Brown | By Special Request The Very Best Of Chuck Brown (2cd) | 2CD

Chuck Brown was a performer, singer, guitarist and songwriter known as the Godfather of Go-Go. He developed his funk style in the mid-1970s to compete with disco, using nonstop percussion to stitch songs together and keep dancers on the floor. He was born in Gaston, North Carolina, in 1936, became one of Washington's most recognisable figures, and died in Baltimore in 2012, aged 75.

By Special Request: The Very Best Of Chuck Brown is a 2 CD compilation released by Raw Venture Records & Tapes in 2018. The liner notes and essay are by Timothy W. Wolfe.
