Krivine, Emmanuel | Debussy Images, La Mer | CD
£11.00
Claude Debussy was a French composer, born on 22 August 1862 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, who died in Paris on 25 March 1918. He is sometimes seen as the first Impressionist composer, although he vigorously rejected the term. He was among the most influential composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and his music freed itself from the academic conventions of its time and from the tyranny of the bar.
This 1 CD album, released on the Erato label in 2018, contains La Mer and Images performed by the Orchestre National de France under Emmanuel Krivine. The recording was made at Auditorium Radio France in 2017, and Daniel Zalay is credited as producer.
