Clerks of the Choir of New College Oxford / Edward Higginbottom | Byrd & Tallis: Lamentations and Mass for Four Voices | CD

The Choir of New College Oxford is an English collegiate choir with a long association with sacred music. Its clerks perform repertoire in which vocal lines and ensemble blend are central to the interpretation.

This programme brings together sacred works by William Byrd and Thomas Tallis under Edward Higginbottom. Lamentations settings and Byrd's Mass for Four Voices place Renaissance counterpoint within a closely focused choral recording.
