Clyde Mcphatter | The Ballads Of Clyde Mcphatter | CD

Clyde McPhatter was an American singer, perhaps the most widely imitated R&B singer of the 1950s and 1960s, and a key figure in shaping doo-wop and R&B. He was lead tenor for Billy Ward and His Dominoes before forming Clyde McPhatter and The Drifters and then going solo. He was born in Durham, North Carolina, in 1932 and died in Manhattan, New York, in 1972. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 as a performer.
