Current 93 | If A City Is Set Upon A Hill | CD

Current 93 is a group with an ever changing line up of musicians, led by David Tibet. The group began in 1982 and released the ritualistic single 21872 in 1984, followed by several LPs of noisy soundscapes up to 1986. It then turned to an "apocalyptic folk" sound, with acoustic guitars and atonal vocals, and constantly develops a new style with each record.

If A City Is Set Upon A Hill is a neofolk and experimental album on CD, one disc, released on 1 April 2022 by HomAleph. Music is credited to Current 93, with words by David Tibet. Alasdair Roberts plays acoustic and electric guitar, autoharp and synthesizer, Reinier Van Houdt plays electric piano, piano and guitar, and Andrew Liles contributes electronics, guitar and keyboards.
