Darkthrone | Under A Funeral Moon (Phd Exclusive Clear Vinyl) | LP

Darkthrone is a Norwegian metal band from Kolbotn, formed in 1987 and initially founded as Black Death in 1986. The band started as a death metal group, and after releasing Soulside Journey it abandoned technical death metal for black metal. Its sound has since taken in traditional heavy metal, thrash, doom, death and speed metal, as well as crust punk. Since 1993 Darkthrone has been a duo of Fenriz (Gylve Nagell) and Nocturno Culto (Ted Skjellum), and the band mainly stopped playing live after 1991, with its last show in 1996 featuring Satyr as a one-off live bassist.

Under A Funeral Moon is a 1 vinyl LP released on 15 May 2026 by Peaceville in the UK. It was recorded at Creative Studios in June. Production is credited to Darkthrone, with Nocturno Culto on bass and vocals, Zephyrous on lead guitar, and Fenriz credited for percussion and lyrics.
