Delibes | Chor. Maguy Marin - Lyon Natio | DVD

Léo Delibes was a French composer particularly associated with ballet and opera. His ballet scores combine lyrical melody with clearly shaped dances and dramatic character, and remain central works in the classical ballet repertoire.

This filmed production of Coppélia presents Maguy Marin's choreography with the Lyon ballet company. Delibes' score accompanies a reworking of the story in a contemporary setting, with the screen presentation combining theatrical and cinematic approaches.
