Dick Dale was an American guitarist and record label owner, born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1937. He helped pioneer surf music and was proclaimed King of the Surf Guitar. His 1961 single Let's Go Trippin' on his own Deltone Records is considered the first surf record.
