Dizzy Gillespie And The United | Dizzy Gillespie And | DVD

Dizzy Gillespie was a jazz trumpeter, composer and bandleader associated with bebop and its wider musical connections. The United Nations Orchestra brought together musicians with different backgrounds, expanding that language through a large international ensemble.

This concert recording presents Dizzy Gillespie and the United Nations Orchestra at London's Royal Festival Hall. The ensemble includes musicians such as Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D'Rivera, Slide Hampton and Flora Purim, bringing contrasting musical backgrounds into a shared performance.
