Enslaved is a progressive metal band from Haugesund, later Bergen, Norway, formed in June 1991 by Ivar Peersen, also known as Ivar Bjørnson, and Kjetil Grutle, also known as Grutle Kjellson. The band is typically identified as viking metal, and although its current sound is characteristic of black metal, it is very much influenced by British progressive rock bands of the 1970s. Arve Isdal has played guitar in the band since 2002.
Vikingligr Veldi is a 2 LP album by Enslaved, released by By Norse Music on 20 April 2024 as a Record Store Day reissue. It is a Record Store Day exclusive release, and this is a black and green marble coloured edition of 1250 copies. Eirik Hundvin and Enslaved are credited as producers. Grutle Kjellson handles vocals and bass, Ivar Bjørnson plays guitar, electronics and piano, and Trym Torson plays drums and percussion.
