Étienne Daho is a French singer, born in 1956 in Oran, Algeria, who has had a run of synth-driven and rock-influenced pop hits in the French-speaking world since 1981. He moved to Rennes in the 1960s when his mother took a job in a local hospital. His 1985 single 36263 led to a wave of enthusiasm known as 'Dahomania' across France.

Surf (Volumes 1 & 2) is a two-LP stereo album by Étienne Daho, released on Parlophone in France on 20 November 2020. It is presented as the complete album, released on vinyl for the first time. Nicolas Dubosc, Ivan Beck and François Poggio are credited as producers, with Marcello Giuliani, Philippe Entressangle and Raphael Chassin among the musicians.
