Sinatra, Frank | Sings For Only The Lonely | CD

Frank Sinatra was a US singer and actor, born in Hoboken, New Jersey, on 12 December 1915 and died in Los Angeles on 14 May 1998. Nicknamed The Voice and Ol' Blue Eyes, he began his musical career in the swing era. He became a solo artist after signing with Columbia in March 1943, and he later signed a seven-year recording contract with Capitol on 13 March 1953. He left Capitol to found his own record label in 1960.

Frank Sinatra Sings For Only The Lonely is a single CD reissue from Capitol Records, released in Europe on 26 October 2018. The album was first released in 1958 and consists of torch songs, following a formula similar to two earlier Sinatra albums from 1955 and 1957. This edition is digitally remastered and remixed in stereo, with Nelson Riddle arranging and conducting and Voyle Gilmore credited as producer.
