Frank Sinatra was a US singer and actor, born in Hoboken, New Jersey, on 12 December 1915 and died in Los Angeles on 14 May 1998. Nicknamed The Voice and Ol' Blue Eyes, he began his musical career in the swing era. He became a solo artist after signing with Columbia in March 1943, and he later signed a seven-year recording contract with Capitol on 13 March 1953. He left Capitol to found his own record label in 1960.

The Ultimate Collection is a four-disc CD compilation by Frank Sinatra, released in 2006 on The Red Box in the United Kingdom. It contains 60 tracks across the four discs and is classed in jazz, blues, pop and stage and screen, with swing as the style.
