Frank Zappa And The Mothers Of Invention | Live In Holland 1968-1970 | 2CD

Frank Zappa was an American composer, lyricist, songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, bandleader, conductor, producer and filmmaker, born on 21 December 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland, and died on 4 December 1993 in Los Angeles, California. His music combined an understanding of contemporary classical composers such as Igor Stravinsky, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Edgard Varèse with late 1950s doo-wop, rock and roll and guitar-heavy rock. He was also a keen satirist and a prolific record-maker, whose records were issued on his own labels and through distribution deals with Rykodisc and Rhino Entertainment Company.

This is a two-disc live recording by Frank Zappa and The Mothers, with performances at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in 1968 and at the 'Piknik' Show in Uddel. The credits include Frank Zappa on guitar and vocals, Roy Estrada on bass and vocals, and Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman on vocals. The release was issued by Rox Vox in 2021.
