Genesis-Calling All Stations | Genesis-Calling All | CD

Genesis grew from the English progressive rock scene into one of the most successful groups in popular music. Their catalogue connects elaborate arrangements and extended song structures with increasingly direct melodies, while keyboards, expressive guitar parts and tightly organised rhythm sections provide a recognisable musical identity.

Calling All Stations introduces Ray Wilson as Genesis' lead singer, with Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford continuing the band's songwriting partnership. Congo, Shipwrecked and Not About Us give the album its central vocal character, while the arrangements bring a different rhythmic and tonal balance to the group's studio sound.
