George Formby | Best Of George Formby, The | CD

George Formby was a British singer, comedian and entertainer known for his bright voice and distinctive ukulele and banjolele playing. His songs combine comic storytelling, double meanings and an immediately recognisable rhythmic accompaniment, capturing the lively performance style that made him a major stage and film personality.

The Best of George Formby gathers performances built around the entertainer's unmistakable voice and ukulele accompaniment. Comic situations and memorable refrains give the songs their immediate appeal, while the collection lets his distinctive delivery remain the link between different characters and stories from his repertoire.
