Rossini | Giochino-String Sona | 2CD

Gioachino Rossini is the composer of the seven operas that supply the arias, duets and trios on this recording. The album celebrates the star tenors of Rossini's time, including Andrea Nozzari, Giovanni David and Manuel García.

This two-disc set of Rossini's string sonatas, Nos. 1 to 6, was released by Newton Classics in 2011, with recordings originally made by Philips Classics. The album is classed as classical and chamber music, and the edition is a Netherlands release.
