Gioachino Rossini | Tancredi | DVD

Gioachino Rossini was an Italian composer whose operas combine expressive vocal writing with lively orchestral detail. His music gives melody, dramatic character and carefully shaped ensemble passages an active role in the unfolding of the stage story.

Tancredi presents Rossini's opera as a filmed performance. The music connects expressive solo writing with orchestral detail and ensemble passages, carrying the characters' conflicts through the stage story.
