Girls Aloud | Sound Of The Underground | CD

Girls Aloud were a British pop group whose recordings paired distinctive shared vocals with adventurous songwriting and production. Their singles often combine several melodic ideas within one song, using contrasting sections, rhythmic shifts and carefully arranged harmonies to create an immediately recognisable pop identity.

Sound of the Underground introduces Girls Aloud through the title single and a programme of contrasting pop arrangements. The group's voices move between energetic songs and more reflective passages, establishing the shared vocal identity that would connect their later recordings while giving each selection its own musical character.
