Glassjaw | Material Control | CD

Glassjaw are an American band whose music connects post-hardcore intensity with rhythmic detail and abrupt changes of texture. Daryl Palumbo's expressive vocals and the band's interlocking instrumental parts give the songs a volatile character, moving between tightly controlled passages and more explosive releases of energy.

Material Control places Glassjaw's volatile ensemble sound within a tightly focused album programme. Rhythmic changes, forceful guitars and Daryl Palumbo's expressive vocals give the songs their character, with quieter textures and sudden releases of energy becoming active parts of the arrangements rather than simple contrasts between songs.
