Glee is a musical television series whose cast reinterpret popular songs through the lives of a school choir and its members. The performances connect individual voices with ensemble arrangements, allowing familiar repertoire to become part of the characters' changing relationships, ambitions and dramatic stories.
Glee: The Music, Volume 5 gathers sixteen cast recordings from the second season. Firework, Somebody to Love, Don't You Want Me and Baby illustrate the programme's range across different pop styles, while the series' shared vocal and ensemble approach connects the familiar songs within one release.
