Various Artists | The Glory Of Gershwin | CD

George Gershwin was an American composer whose music brought jazz rhythms and popular song into conversation with concert forms. His melodies combine direct appeal with harmonic imagination, allowing his work to move naturally between orchestral performance, theatre and individual interpretations by singers and instrumentalists.

The Glory of Gershwin brings different singers and musicians together around Gershwin's repertoire, with Larry Adler's harmonica providing an important shared voice. The changing interpretations give familiar songs new settings, connecting the composer's melodic language with performers from different areas of popular music.
