Godsmack | 1000Hp | 1LP

Godsmack are an American rock band whose recordings place prominent guitar riffs, forceful vocals and a powerful rhythm section at the centre of the sound. Their songs connect direct melodic ideas with heavy instrumental arrangements, using tightly controlled intensity to give the music its physical impact.

1000hp places Godsmack's forceful vocals and guitar riffs within a direct rock album programme. The title song establishes the record's physical energy, while changes of pace and instrumental texture give the surrounding material contrast. The band's tightly organised rhythm section provides continuity across the performances.
