Gojira | Fortitude | 1LP

Gojira are a French metal band whose recordings combine precise rhythmic playing, heavy guitar textures and an unusually strong sense of atmosphere. Their music uses changes of intensity and scale to connect physical force with reflection, while lyrics frequently address the relationship between people and the natural world.

Fortitude was recorded and produced by Joe Duplantier at Gojira's Silver Cord Studio and mixed by Andy Wallace. Another World is part of a programme that connects heavy guitar music with themes of collective change, using rhythmic precision and atmospheric detail to give the songs a broader emotional scale.
