Sir Simon Rattle & Berliner Ph | Mahler Symphony No. 5 | 1LP

Gustav Mahler was an Austrian composer and conductor of the Late Romantic period, born in 1860 in Kalischt, Bohemia, and died in Vienna in 1911. As a composer he acted as a bridge between the 19th-century Austro-German tradition and the modernism of the early 20th century. His music gained wide popularity only after periods of relative neglect, and after 1945 he became one of the most frequently performed and recorded composers.

This is a vinyl release of Mahler's Symphony No. 5, performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Sir Simon Rattle. Warner Classics released it in 2024, and Stephen Johns is credited as producer.
