Heilung is an experimental folk music band made up of members from Denmark, Norway and Germany. The band was founded in 2014 by vocalist Kai Uwe Faust and Danish multi-instrumentalist and studio engineer Christopher Juul, and Norwegian singer Maria Franz joined as a full member in 2015. The band's name is German for Healing, and its work draws on amplified history from early medieval northern Europe.
ᚠᚢᚦᚨ = Futha is a two disc vinyl album by Heilung on Season Of Mist, released on June 28, 2019. The album is the third by Heilung, following the debut Ofnir. The recordings combine ancient Germanic tongues with geophonic recordings of crackling fires and breaking ice, and percussion made with swords, shields and arrows.
