Karajan, Herbert Von | Symphonies, The | CD

Herbert von Karajan was an Austrian conductor, born in Salzburg on 5 April 1908 and died in Anif, Austria, on 16 July 1989. He studied piano, harmony, composition and conducting in Salzburg and Vienna, and made his conducting debut in Salzburg on 22 January 1929.

This release presents Herbert von Karajan conducting Tchaikovsky's Symphonies 1 to 6 with the Berliner Philharmoniker, recorded in 1977. It was released in 2019 by Deutsche Grammophon as a five-disc set comprising four CDs and one Blu-ray audio disc with 24-bit audio.
