Icon of Coil is a Norwegian electronic music band. It was established as a solo project in 1997 by Andy LaPlegua, who was joined by Sebastian Komor to perform live, and Komor joined full-time after the band's first single, Shallow Nation. In 2000 Christian Lund joined the live lineup, and the first full-length album, Serenity Is the Devil, was released later that year, climbing to number one on the Deutsche Alternative Charts.

Serenity Is the Devil is a two-disc vinyl album, a limited edition remastered reissue released by Metropolis in 2025. The release marks the 25th anniversary and includes Sec Four (Demo), a bonus track originally recorded by Combichrist for DmC Devil May Cry and released on their Patreon.
