Johnson Jack | In Between Dub | 1LP

Jack Johnson is a Hawaiian singer-songwriter, musician, filmmaker and surfer, born on 18 May 1975. Johnson achieved commercial success and a dedicated following after the 2001 release of his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales.

In Between Dub is a 2023 vinyl LP album on Brushfire Records, issued in Europe. It is a dub remix album based on Johnson's recordings, begun in March 2020 when Johnson asked Lee 'Scratch' Perry to produce it. Work was halted in August 2021 after Perry died, and in 2022 Johnson and Subatomic Sound System, the band Perry had led for the last decade, brought the project to completion. Dubs on the album come from Dennis Bovell, Scientist, Mad Professor and Nightmares on Wax.
