James Brown | Living in America | CD

James Brown was an American singer and bandleader whose recordings helped shape soul and funk. His arrangements emphasised repeated rhythmic figures, tightly coordinated ensemble playing and an expressive, percussive vocal style.

Living in America brings together recordings by James Brown in a compilation programme. Its title refers to his 1980s hit, placing that later chapter alongside selections from his wider catalogue.
