Jefferson Starship | Best Of Mick's Picks | 2CD
Jefferson Starship is a US band formed in 1974 after the breakup of Jefferson Airplane. Its first album, Dragonfly, was recorded in 1974, and the membership later changed almost endlessly until David Freiberg was the only original member left. The name had been used four years earlier for a band that included David Crosby, Graham Nash and members of the Grateful Dead, backing Paul Kantner on his solo album Blows Against the Empire. Band leader Paul Kantner left the group in 1984, and a settlement that prohibited use of the name, unless all original members were in the band, forced it to change its name to Starship.
The Best Of Mick's Picks is a two disc compilation released by Retroworld in 2012 and credited to Jefferson Starship. It is in the rock genre.
