Jethro Tull | Living With The Past | CD
Jethro Tull is a British rock group that was formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, in 1967. The group has won a Grammy Award, and its music is marked by the distinctive vocal style and lead flute work of its front man. Initially playing blues rock with an experimental flavour, the band has incorporated elements of classical, folk and 'ethnic' music, jazz and art rock over the years.
This US release from Eagle Records, dated 2014, combines two live albums by Jethro Tull into a single set. Living With The Past was originally released in 2002 and mainly contains tracks recorded on the band's 2001 tour, with archive recordings from 1989 to 2002. Nothing Is Easy captures the band's performance at the Isle of Wight festival in 1970, in front of an audience estimated to be in excess of half a million people.
