Jethro Tull | Triple Album Collection | 3CD
Jethro Tull is a British rock group that was formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, in 1967. The group has won a Grammy Award, and its music is marked by the distinctive vocal style and lead flute work of its front man. Initially playing blues rock with an experimental flavour, the band has incorporated elements of classical, folk and 'ethnic' music, jazz and art rock over the years.
The Triple Album Collection is a three-disc box set compilation released by Chrysalis, with the first disc containing This Was, the second Stand Up and the third Benefit. This Was was recorded at Sound Technique in Chelsea, London, in 1968, and Benefit at Morgan Studios, London, in 1970. Stand Up was recorded at Morgan Studios, London, in 1969 except for Bouree, which was recorded at Olympic Studios, London. Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull are credited as producers, Terry Ellis as executive producer and David Palmer as arranger and conductor.
