Jimmy Thackery is a blues singer and guitarist, born in 1953 in Pittsburgh. He was raised in Washington and co-founded The Nighthawks with Mark Wenner in 1972, staying with the band for fourteen years and recording over twenty albums with them. This one-disc CD album was released in 1993 by Blind Pig Records and credited to Jimmy Thackery and John Mooney, who both produced it. The recordings are blues and ragtime renditions on acoustic guitar, mandocello and mandolins. Some tracks had not been released before, while others first appeared on an earlier release.
