Johnny Cash | My Mother's Hymn Book | CD

Johnny Cash was an American singer-songwriter whose recordings connected country, folk and gospel with a direct vocal style. Religious songs formed a continuing part of his repertoire alongside narrative and personal material.

Released separately in 2004, My Mother's Hymn Book collects hymns remembered from his youth. The spare performances centre on Cash's voice and guitar, giving familiar religious songs an intimate setting.
