Heartbreakers | L.a.m.f. Demo Sessions | 1LP

Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers were a New York City band formed by Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan in April 1975 after they left the New York Dolls. Richard Hell was brought in to play bass, share songwriting and sing, and Walter Lure joined on rhythm guitar in July. Billy Rath took over the bass in 1976 after Hell was dismissed. The band released an LP in 1977 and split up soon after, then played live on and off from 1978 until Thunders' death in 1991.

This single LP vinyl record is a Record Store Day compilation of studio demo sessions by the band, released by Jungle Records on 25 November 2022. The recordings are demos dating from 1976 and 1977, made at several studios. Credits include Johnny Thunders and Walter Lure on lead guitar and vocals, Richard Hell and Billy Rath on bass, and Jerry Nolan and Terry Chimes on drums.
