Ken Campbell's Ideal Band | Ken Campbell's Ideal Band | CD

Ken Campbell’s Ideal Band is a Scottish folk ensemble whose recordings bring songs and instrumental playing into coordinated arrangements. The performances connect vocal interpretation with rhythmic accompaniment and exchanges between the musicians, giving traditional melodies and ensemble phrasing an active role.

Ken Campbell’s Ideal Band brings twelve Scottish folk performances together on CD. Piper’s Refrain, Northern Winds and My Madonna introduce songs and instrumental accompaniment, with vocal phrasing, melodic detail and ensemble interaction shaping the programme.
