LaBelle | Moon Shadow | CD

LaBelle brought together Patti LaBelle, Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash in a vocal group that crossed soul, funk and rock. Their recordings combine expressive lead singing and close harmonies with adventurous arrangements, extending the possibilities of the traditional female vocal-group sound. Originally released in 1972, Moon Shadow is the trio’s second studio album. The songs combine soul and gospel with rock influences, including interpretations of material by The Who and Cat Stevens.
